Stephanie Ruhle of MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour”, explained that Donald Trump is a more accessible candidate than Kamala.
Ruhle decided on a whim to call and ask for an interview, which he promptly declined. But still, he answered the phone.
Even if she was shot down by Trump in his typical style.
In an interview with Lukas Thmm, Ruhle stated that if she wanted to contact VP Harris or President Biden, it would take 50 people to reach them. She could then write a letter that could be delivered to someone to deliver something to someone that, (through) Pony Express, a pigeon, and a mailman, might land in a post box near to the person.
It was easy to contact Trump by simply dialing her number.
Ruhe told reporters that she “rolled the die” after calling Trump following the “crazy” rally at Madison Square Garden. “And he responded!”
“I called and said I wanted an interview. He said no. She explained that she was able to contact him by calling his phone. “Now, that may be completely apes**t and you think, ‘I cannot believe people know his phone number.”
Ruhle said that the contrast between Trump and Harris was clear: Trump is open to the media while Harris is not.
“And I called DJT to say, ‘Yo, can I get an interview?’ and he told me to go f**k myself, but I still was able to connect with him,” she recalled. “Yeah.”
You laugh at the last part, right? Most likely, the president-elect politely declined an interview with an MSNBC anchor who gets almost zero ratings.
There’s still a part of you who wants to laugh, thinking that maybe — just perhaps — he told Ruhle “Go f**k yourself.”
Ruhle, along with the other Island of Misfits journalists at MSNBC, have suffered from their ratings during the Trump 47 era.
Noble writes that MSNBC’s Tuesday prior to Thanksgiving was the lowest-rated weekday non-holiday since July 19, 200,4 with just 38,000 viewers on average in the highly sought-after 25-54 demographic.
Ruhle’s program had the lowest “total viewership ever”.
In her analysis of the post-election, Ruhle suggests that the media has lost credibility because they sat there on X like “fat chickens”, while right-wingers pounced on their constant disinformation.
She recently compared the acquittals of Marine hero Daniel Penny and the assassinations of United Healthcare CEOs, saying that both cases were celebrations of violence.
Trump has called the MSNBC anchor “dumb as rock bimbo Stephanie Ruhle” in the past.
Trump appears to be in agreement with Harris on the matter of media access. Harris refused to be available to mainstream media outlets, even those that were friendly. She chose to do softball interviews, share beers, and chat with Stephen Colbert.
“I think that they made a tactical mistake in not speaking to the media, even though it was a friendly…friendly interview and they refused everyone. Trump said that the Harris campaign had a poor media strategy.
“And I, and others, would begin to ask, Is there something wrong with her?” What’s wrong? Why would you not do basic interviews?”
Harris’s first foray into hostile waters, such as an interview with Fox News host Bret Baier, was a trainwreck.
