Susan Summerall Wiles was appointed as Trump’s Chief of Staff just days after his reelection to a non-consecutive second term as President.
In addition, he didn’t wait long to begin the preparations for Inauguration Day. We previously reported that he chose former Georgia Republican senator Kelly Loeffler as co-chair of his Inaugural Committee with Vice President-elect JDVance:
Trump has wasted no time in preparing for the transition. He announced on Thursday that Susan Summerall Wiles, his campaign manager, will be his chief of staff. His transition team has already been put in motion.
Trump’s transition is headed by Linda McMahon, the professional wrestler, and Howard Lutnick, a billionaire businessman.
The Trump-Vance Campaign announced on Saturday the formation of a “Trump Vance Inaugural Committee, Inc.,” which will be responsible for planning inaugural events.
Steve Witkoff, a long-time friend and supporter of President-elect Trump and Senator Kelly Loeffler will co-chair the organization.

Trump announced on Wednesday night that the former Senator and CEO will have a bigger role in his White House team as the Administrator of the Small Business Administration.
“I am delighted to nominate former U.S. Senator and business leader Kelly Loeffler. Kelly Loeffler is a Senator from Georgia. She will be the Administrator of the Small Business Administration. Small businesses are the foundation of our Great economy. Kelly will use her business experience and Washington connections to cut red tape and create opportunities for Small Businesses to grow and innovate. She will ensure that the SBA is held accountable to taxpayers by cracking down on fraud, waste, and regulatory overreach.
Kelly was a great fighter in the U.S. Senate under the first Trump Administration. She helped pass the first bill ever to protect Women in Sports. Kelly had a career in technology and financial services for 25 years before she joined the U.S. Senate. As Executive Vice, Kelly and her husband Jeff helped grow a Fortune 500 Company from 100 employees to more than 10,000. She and Jeff helped me win the Big Election in Georgia.
Kelly, who is a strong believer in the “American Dream”, was the fourth generation in her family to work at the farm and the first to go to college. She earned an MBA at DePaul University and a Business Administration degree from the University of Illinois. She was also the first CFA Charterholder to be elected to the Senate. Kelly has been working tirelessly for the past four years to restore Election Integrity in Georgia, as well as diverse outreach and voter registration through her nonprofit Greater Georgia. In addition to her role as SBA Administrator, I have appointed Kelly Co-Chairperson of the Presidential Inaugural Committee.

“Congratulations Kelly!”
Readers might recall that Loeffler served as U.S. senator from the Peach State starting in Jan. 2020, after Governor Brian Kemp appointed her to Sen. Johnny Isakson’s (R) seat, which he left due to health reasons.
Loeffler ran in a special U.S. Senate election to represent Georgia. She lost the special general runoff on January 5, 2020″ to Democrat Rafael Warnock who served out Isakson’s term (until January 2023).
Loeffler has a rich history.
Loeffler owns the Atlanta Dream WNBA franchise. She was the chief communications officer, head of investor relations, and director of marketing for Intercontinental Exchange (a company that operates financial and commodity exchanges) for 16 years.
