We reported that the Subcommittee on Oversight of the Committee on House Administration has released a new interim document relating to the events on January 6, 2021, and the actions taken by the Jan.6 Committee.
The report concluded that the events could have been prevented. The report claimed that Cassidy Hutchinson was a witness and that Liz Cheney, formerly Wyoming’s representative, had communicated with her. It recommended an investigation into Cheney for possible criminal witness tampering. The Committee also pointed out problems with Hutchinson’s claims and stated that they knew these were false.
Twitchy reports Cheney’s reaction to the report and recommendations. She sounds very worried.
Donald Trump was exposed as the cruel, vindictive person he is on January 6, a man who watched television for hours and refused to tell his supporters to stop and leave. Hearings and a report from the January 6th Committee featured scores of republican witnesses, including some of Trump’s most senior officials in his White House, campaign, and Administration. The testimony of these witnesses was meticulously documented in thousands of pages and made public with an 800-page report that is highly detailed and backed up by meticulous sources. The Department of Justice also conducted an independent investigation and came to the same conclusions.
To hide what Donald Trump did, the interim report of Chairman Loudermilk deliberately ignores the truth, the Select Committee’s weighty evidence, and fabricates lies and defamatory accusations.
Their accusations do not reflect an examination of the evidence and are a cowardly and malicious attack on the truth. This is not something that a reputable lawyer or legislator, let alone a judge, would consider.
What Cheney says here is inaccurate. Trump did, of course, call for people to behave peacefully at the J6 demonstrations and go home.
She talks a lot about how many pages her Committee has produced, but have you noticed what she does not mention?

What is known about her communications with Hutchinson?
She also claims that “no respectable lawyer, legislator, or judge would ever take this seriously.”
I don’t believe she could know that. But we might find out very soon if the FBI investigates the case.
The little sentence at her end tells me she is worried about what’s coming.
We’ll now have to wait and see if Joe Biden pardons her in January. He’ll likely do so just before January 20 to avoid any questions. When reports about pardons broke, her name was among those specifically mentioned.
