Elon Musk, the tech billionaire, slammed Dana Carvey’s impression of him on “Saturday Night Live”, saying that comedy is “dying.”

Musk, posted on the social media platform that he runs X, “SNL is dying slowly, as they are becoming increasingly out of touch with reality.”

Musk criticized the show’s “last ditch effort” to “cheat on the equal airtime requirement.”

Vice President Harris appeared briefly on “SNL”, ahead of the elections. NBC then offered former president Trump airtime following her appearance as part of the Federal Communications Commission’s “equal time” rule, which allows rival candidates to request airtime if desired.

The cast of Saturday’s episode jokingly pleaded with Trump during the cold opening. Carvey – an “SNL” alum who has played President Biden in several sketches – impersonated Musk.

Carvey’s arms were pumping as he jumped and pumped, alluding to Musk coming on stage last month at a Trump rally.

In the sketch, Carvey as Musk said, “Check it out dark MAGA.”

Musk also criticized Carvey in a separate blog post. He said, “Dana Carvey sounds just like Dana Carvey.”

Musk, who hosted “SNL” 2021, said that the show was “so angry” that Trump won the election.
